Among the NAS (Network Attached Storage) products which are today’s mainstream products in the storage market, there are two kinds; one is the file storage which allows users to manage and access the data file by file. Another is the object storage which is user-friendly in handling non-structured data, such as image and video files.

Due to various factors such as strongly emerging video streaming service providers inside and outside Japan, increase of aging population and falling of child birth rate, and younger people watching less TV, broadcasting companies and cable TV companies are seeking to transform their business models from the original ones to the newer ones.
In accordance with such trends, the Connected Business Development Division provides automatic quality test software for digitized image contents as well as monitoring of the QoS (Quality of Service) of Live and VOD contents, platforms for the real-time QoE (Quality of Experience) analysis of the viewers on their terminals and BI (Business Intelligence) analysis of user journeys, such as viewers’ behaviors, and watermark technologies to protect highly-valuable contents.
