The history of our company's storage business dates back to 1989, when CTC Components Systems - a predecessor of Innomicro, a former member of the corporate group - started commercializing hard disk drives (HDD) of the Conner brand. In 1994, we became an official sales representative of IBM hard disk drives in Japan. In January 2003, we became an official sales representative of Hitachi Global Storage Technologies (Hitachi GST) which absorbed IBM's HDD business.
Hitachi GST develops and manufactures products with the highest reliability employing the most advanced technologies. These include large-capacity 3.5-inch HDD's mostly targeted on servers and computers, and also 2.5-inch HDD's suitable for mobile equipment characterized by a high level of shock resistance. The company is an integrated, vertical-style manufacturer that develops and manufactures core components such as magnetic heads and media. It is prepared to cope with a wide range of data storage applications for businesses that are expected to experience rapid growth, which include not only IT but also home appliances.
Based on the old history of partnership between our company and GST, we provide customer support that can cope with various types of needs ranging from technical advice upon the planning for the launch of new products to after-sale services for customers who use our HDD’s. The key to our survival as a company is how to quickly process and solve the various technical issues that may arise from the development to the arrival to the market of a new product given the fact that product cycles are becoming increasingly shorter. A Technical Center was established within our company to accumulate delivery inspection data and after-delivery product data, conduct analysis with technical groups, and provide quick and definite support to always satisfy our customers' needs, taking advantage of our strong connection with Hitachi GST, which has research and development facilities in Japan. |
